SUMMARY REPORT ON THE 11th ROUND OF THE CROATIAN TELECOM FIRST CFL

Under the framework of the Direct Protection of Fan Violence project, CHC observers monitored the games of the 11th Round of the Croatian Telecom First CFL, and based on direct insight and collected data recorded the following events.

NK CIBALIA – GNK DINAMO 2 : 5

The match of the 11th Round of the Croatian Telecom First League was played at 17:00 hrs on Saturday, September 30 at the City Stadium in Vinkovci. Over 3000 spectators gathered at the game, among which there was a large group of about 250 members of the Bad Blue Boys (BBB – GNK Dinamo fan club), while there were only 70 or so Ultras home fans (NK Cibalia fan club).
The BBB displayed several portraits of Zdravko Mamić with his head crossed out. On two occasions (40th and 41st minute) they chanted “Mamić, Gypsy, leave the holy shrine” along with “Mamić, it’s all over, goodbye”.
In the middle of the second half they began using pyrotechnical devices, and so in the 72nd minute they light a firecracker and a flammable substance, along with a smoke box. Two minutes later (73rd) it appeared as though a chair was set aflame, and another firecracker was lit. In the 79th minute smoke could be seen coming out of another smoke box.
The Ultras enthusiastically cheered on their team, and aggravated by some of the referee’s calls, they chanted “CFF faggots, you screwed up football” in the 49th minute, and “Fuck you Mamić” in the 52nd. A smaller group of spectators on the western stands also expressed their anger with the referee’s decisions by yelling “Gypsies, Gypsies” in the 49th and 55th minute.

Already in the 9th minute, NK Rudeš fans start with their outbursts and hate speech by chanting “Rotten Rijeka, you’re full of Serbs, don’t worry Rijeka, there’s more willows for hanging”, followed by “Serbs on willows”. The Armada respond in the 10th minute with “Purger pussies”, but this does not stop the Rudeš fans, so they continue with “Rotten Rijeka, you stinking city, I’ll kill half your Armada, rotten Rijeka, you’re full of Serbs, don’t worry Rijeka, there’s more willows for hanging”.
In the 17th minute, the Armada continue with “Purger pussies” and “Zagreb is where the vermin live, the Purger vermin”. Two minutes later (19th min) the official announcer warns them of their inappropriate chanting. Both fan groups received a warning.

Note:
This time, CHC monitors received protected loge seats in Loge B, which is located around row 33, beneath the stadium roof and behind the reporters’ loge. The President of the CHC who was in the company of his other monitors found it virtually impossible to climb the stairs.
This is a continuation of the conduct of the President of Hajduk’s Management Board, Ivan Kos, from December 2016, when he began distancing CHC monitors and telling me personally that it was due to the content of our reports with which he is unsatisfied. This is also evident from the open letter to Slobodna Dalmacija of Dec. 2, 2016 as reported by Sportske Novosti. “Kos never presented any document or argument to prove the claims and express his dissatisfaction with the facts recorded in our reports, and thus his own self-willed decision is based on his own viewpoint, whereby he introduced the practice of verbal delicts. The CHC cannot, must not, and will never accept such self-willed measures, given that numerous members of the CHC were pioneers in the fight against verbal delicts during the communist dictatorship.
With his own self-will, Mr. Kos continues to deny fundamental human rights and violates the law on disabled people of the Republic of Croatia.”
