Under the framework of the “Direct Protection of Fan Violence” project, CHC observers monitored the games of the 4nth round of the HT first Croatian soccer league, and based on direct insight and collected data recorded the following events.

In 68’ Kohorta chanted:”Oooo fuck you Dinamo”.

NK RUDEŠ – NK RIJEKA 1:2

The match was played in Rijeka, instead of Zagreb, considering that the pitch of the stadium Rudeš is playing on is being redecorated.

There was no special happenings on the pitch, nor any violations of rules of the match.

HNK HAJDUK – NK GORICA  0:2

The game of the 4 th  round of the HT first Croatian soccer league was played on August 19. 2018., in Split, at the Poljud stadium, in front of about 11.000 supporters, from which about 4000 were members of Torcida ( HNK Hajduk fan club) located on the northern stands of the stadium.

The match was significant due to the fact that Hajduk supporters cheered for their team, just to throw flares on Hajduk players at the end of the match and demanded aberration of the board.

Dissatisfied with Hajduk’s performance, in 37’ Torcida chanted:”Play you pussies”. Then, after an awarded penalty kick for Gorica, Torcida chanted to Hajduk players:”You motherfuckers”, and after that :”Take off your jerseys, you are not Hajduk” and “We will beat you up”.

Right before the end of the match, a small group of Torcida members tried to imitate monkeys with mumbling, alluding to a dark skinned player from the African continent – Ahmed Said. The rest of the fans did not accept that.

In 69’ the members of Torcida threw 18 flares. 12 flares were thrown on the pitch (on Gorica’s goalkeeper area), two have fallen on the tartan track and the rest burnt out on the stands. Due to thick smoke, the match was aborted for 2 minutes. Just before the end of the match, in a heated up players quarrel, Hajduk player Ahmed Said hit Gorica’s goalkeeper with his head causing him to fall down, and getting himself a red card.

Right before the match ended the whole stadium chanted:”Administration – leave”. After the game, the members of Torcida chanted to the players”Come here”, on which the players responded by actually coming to them, but as soon as they approached the stands where Torcida was located, flares were thrown on them. 2 of the flares ended up on the pitch and one stayed lit among the watchers.

After the match, a ‘message’ from Ante Vukušić (ex Hajduk captain) appeared  on Instagram reagarding Ahmed Said that said:”Go back in Africa”with a photo of shit added at the end of the message. Vukušić denied the message, claiming that an unknown person has hacked his mobile phone.

The police is on the move and they must determine was it really hacked or not,and they also must charge the author of the message according to the law, due to racism.

NOTE: We would like to emphasize that a part of media and different internet portals (Sportske novosti, Jutarnji list, Slobodna Dalmacija ) have professionally and in detail reported the happenings on the pitch during the match.
