SUMMARY REPORT ON THE 7. ROUND OF THE HT CROATIAN FIRST SOCCER LEAGUE
Under the framework of the “Direct Protection of Fan Violence” project, CHC observers monitored the games of the 7th round of the HT first Croatian soccer league, and based on direct insight and collected data recorded the following events
NK GORICA – GNK DINAMO 0:1
The match of the 7. round of HT first Croatian soccer league, played on 15. Septmeber 2018., at 16:30 at the city stadium in Velika Gorica, in front of around 4.100 spectators, among which were around 200 members of Dinamo’s supporters (Bad Blue Boys).
The match went on in a sporty atmosphere and without any fan incidents.
HNK RIJEKA – NK OSIJEK 1:1
The match of the 7.round of HT first Croatian soccer league between HNK Rijeka and NK Osijek was played on 16.09.2018. in front of around 5100 people, from which about 600 were members of Armada (HNK Rijeka) and about 20 were members of Kohorta (NK Osijek)
During the match members of Armada, on multiple occasions chanted:”Osijek pussies” (13’, 20’, 26’, 28’, 52’).
In 65′ Armada chanted:”HNS faggots, you’ve fucked up football”, which was repeated in 80’.
In 76′ most of Rijeka fans on the stadium chanted:”Gypsy, Gypsy”, which was pointed towards the referee.
In 82’ Armada chanted to the referees:”Fuck your Šuker”.
After the match ended, the departure of referees from the pitch was accompanied with a chant:”Gypsies, fuck your Šuker”.
NOTE: During the trip from Brač to the HNK Hajduk – NK Rudeš match, on a ferry Supetar – Split, an (un)familiar person insulted the president of CHC, Ivan Zvonimir Čičak, and tried to physically attack him twice, but was prevented by other passengers. We have found out from the passengers that the attackers is the same person who threw Zdravko Mamić in to the sea in Bol, on island Brač, endangering his life by doing so. We’re talking about a person called Domagoj Ivelić (called Domić). The president of CHC immediately called the police with his phone.
That action is only the continuance of ‘forceful’ behavior from a part of Hajduk administrators who aren’t able to deal with those kind of outbursts by ‘football fans’. It wasn’t done by ex-president Kos, whose players were threatened, some were even attacked in the centre of Split. The new Administration has still not dealt with this issue, so it is to expect that the new president Huljaj will take a firm attitude towards the savagery and threats. Most of the Hajduk fans disagree with the savagery but are too afraid to stand up to it.
Finally, we must mention that in the Administration of Hajduk hadn’t provided a suitable ticket for monitoring the game (we have been given a 33.row seat of the western part of the stands) even though they have been notified that the match is going to be monitored by Ivan Zvonimir Čičak, the president of CHC, who is a 100% disabled person and uses crutches to walk. Considering all the given information, there were no reports from this match.
We are also warning about the fact that certain media channels are contributing to fan violence. Yesterday, on the index.hr front page, in a HNK Rijeka – NK Osijek match report, a photo of a part of the stands with multiple flares was shown, even though there were no flares whatsoever activated during the match.
