SUMMARY REPORT ON THE 2. ROUND OF THE HT CROATIAN FIRST SOCCER LEAGUE

Under the framework of the “Direct Prevention of Fan Violence” project, CHC observers monitored the games of the 2nd round of the HT first Croatian soccer league, and based on direct insight and collected data recorded the following events.

HNK RIJEKA – NK INTER 4:0

The match of the 2. round of the HT first Croatian soccer league between HNK Rijeka and NK Inter Zaprešić was played on 03.08.2018., at the Rujevica stadium in Rijeka, in front of around 4.650 people, from which about 400 were members of Armada (HNK Rijeka).

Before the beginning of the match, on the northern section of the stand, a banner with a crossed-out CFF(Croatian football federation) logo was hung.

In 3. Minute, the fans on the northern section of the stadium chanted:”Referee you motherfucker”, and in 19’ Armada chanted:”Purger pussies”.

A few minute later (24’), Armada raised a big banner that said:”Glorious, proud and victorious – THE STORM 04.-07.08.1995.”

In 41’ Armada chanted:”Purger pussies” and in 43’ they sang:”I hate Hajduk, I hate Dinamo, I hate the tovar, I hate the purger, Armada Rijeka.”

In 71’ Armada chanted:”HNS faggots, you’ve fucked up football”, and in 73’ they chanted:”Fuck you, Mamić”.

Two minutes later, members of Armada chant:”HNS faggots”, on which the fans from the eastern stand reply with:”You’ve fucked up football”.

In 80’, from the northern part of the stands, a chant:”HNS faggots, you’ve fucked up football” was heard again.

GNK DINAMO – NK ISTRA 3:0

The match of the 2. round of the HT first Croatian soccer league between GNK Dinamo and NK Istra 1961 was played on 03.08.2018 at the Maksimir stadium in Zagreb, in front of around 2.710 people, among which a large group of Bad Blue Boys(GNK Dinamo) was notable, about 300 of them, and a smaller group of Istrian ‘Demoni’.

The match went on with loud cheering and occasional singing of patriotic songs.

At the end of the match, ’cheering’ turned into a real ‘schauvinisticly-nacist’ show.

In 87’, Bad Blue Boys sang: “The battle is on, ustasha flag is waving for freedom and home”.

Two minutes later they continued with “…Zagreb ladies had run out, step by step, a young ustasha under the flag.”

In 91’ a chant was heard again with the lyrics:”We the Croats don’t drink wine, but the blood of Serbs from Knin”.

A minute later, a chant:”Oh Croatian mother, we will slay Serbs” was heard.

NK OSIJEK – NK RUDEŠ  3:2

The match of the 8. round of the HT first Croatian soccer league between  NK Osijek and NK Rudeš was played on 05.08.2018 at the Gradski vrt stadium in Osijek, in front of around 2.100 people, from which about 200 were members of Kohorta (NK Osijek).

The match was played in a sporty atmosphere and without any fan related incidents.

HNK HAJDUK – NK LOKOMOTIVA 1:1

The match of the 2. round of the HT first Croatian soccer league between HNK Hajduk and NK Lokomotiva was played on 05.08.2018 at the Poljud stadium in Split, in front of around 11.000 people, from which about 4000 were members of Torcida (HNK Hajduk).

Torcida decided to watch in silence, as a remembrance on the HNK Hajduk fans favorite singer – Oliver Dragojević.

In 24.minute, Torcida had lifted a huge banner that said:”Until the last drop of blood, we will celebrate the victory in Oluja”.

In 29.minute, seventeen flares were activated, as well as one flashlight few moments after.

At the end of the match (82’), a group of fans started chanting:” For home – ready”, but other spectators on Poljud have not accepted that ‘challenge’.

We must note that during the first halftime, Torcida lifted a banner that said:” No matter what, we are with you, endure until the end, until the judgment day.” It was a sign of support for a part of Torcida members arrested and convicted in Belgrade for gas station robbery in Belgrade and drawing ‘ustasha’ symbols on public places.
