SUMMARY REPORT ON THE 23rd ROUND OF THE CROATIAN TELECOM FIRST LEAGUE
Under the framework of the Direct Prevention of Fan Violence project, CHC observers monitored the games of the 23rd Round of the Croatian Telecom First League, and based on direct insight and collected data, recorded the following events.
GNK DINAMO – NK INTER ZAPREŠIĆ 2:0
The match between GNK Dinamo and NK Inter Zaprešić was played at Maksimir stadium in Zagreb on March 4, 2017 in front about 3.500 spectators, of which there were close to 1.500 members of the Bad Blue Boys (GNK Dinamo).
In 34’ BBB chant:”Mamić, you Gypsy, leave the holy land”, and in 35’ they chant:”A day will come when junkie will fuck off”.
In 36’ the chanted:”HNS faggots, you’ve fucked up football”. They also had a few banners with a crossed out Zdravko Mamić head.
A few firecrackers were thrown in 25. and 43.minute.
In the second halftime, between 75 and 78’, 24 firecrackers were thrown and 7 flares were activated, from which four were thrown over the fence, next to the pitch.
HNK RIJEKA – NK LOKOMOTIVA 2:1
The match between HNK Rijeka and NK Lokomotiva was played on March 4, 2017 at Rujevica Stadium in Rijeka before about 5000 spectators, of which roughly 600 were members of the Armada fan club (HNK Rijeka) who were positioned on the northern stands.
In a firm and hard match, with a lot of anxiety, the cheering was mostly fair, with a couple of Armada excesses.
Armada chanted:”Purgerske pičke” in 22.,36.,57., and 65.minute and “kill, kill the purger” in 34.and 56.minute. After a few referee decisions, the whole stadium (led by Armada) chanted:”HNS faggots, you’ve fucked up football”.
NK OSIJEK – HNK HAJDUK 2:1
The match between NK Osijek and HNK Hajduk was played on March 4, 2017 at Gradski vrt stadium in Osijek, in front of about 5.000 fans, of which there were close to 1.300 members of the Torcida (HNK Hajduk), and about 700 members of Kohorta (NK Osijek).
The two support groups cheered for their teams very loudly during the whole match, with the usual array of insults and profanities, in which Kohorta had the main role. Torcida ‘expressed’ itself mostly in the last part, from 70’ until 77’, when they chanted:”For home – ready”, “Let’s go Ustashe” as well as “HNS faggots, you’ve fucked up football”. Before that, from 69’ to 71’ around 10 flares were activated, three of which were thrown on the tartan track of the stadium. In 74’ two more flares were activated, followed by 8 firecrackers. On multiple occasions they also chanted:”Osijek pussies” (17.,64.,65.,66.,85. and 90.), while they ended their ‘show’ with chanting:”Croatian police, bribe and corruption”.
Kohorta members were loud, but the mostly chanted “Tovar pussies” (19.,41.,84.and 90.), and “Fuck you, Split”. In 22’ and 63’ they activated 2 firecrackers, as well as two canon blasts and in 80’ and 82’.
