SUMMARY REPORT ON THE 33rd ROUND OF THE CROATIAN TELECOM FIRST LEAGUE
Under the framework of the Direct Protection of Fan Violence project, CHC observers monitored the games of the 33rd Round of the Croatian Telecom First League, and based on direct insight and collected data recorded the following events.
NK LOKOMOTIVA – HNK RIJEKA 1:0
In front of 1.000 supporters, 33. Round of the HT first soccer league was played in Zagreb, Kranjčevićeva stadium on May 4. 2018. The game was watched by around 50 members of Armada (HNK Rijeka fan club), so everything went without any incidents.
NK INTER – NK OSIJEK 1:0
The match of the 33. Round of the HT first soccer league between was played on May 4.. 2018. In Zaprešić in front of around 200 supporters, among which were about 50 members of Kohorta (HNK Osijek fan club).
The match went on in a sportsmanlike and fair atmosphere.
NK SLAVEN BELUPO – GNK DINAMO 2:2
The match of the 33. Round of the HT first soccer league was played on a May 4. 2018. In Koprivnica, on the city stadium in front of around 2.000 supporters, among which were about 300 members of BBB (GNK Dinamo fan club).
Most of the first part of the game was fair, until the last minute when Z.Mamić was insulted “A dy shall come, the junkie will fuck off”, and “Zdravko Mamić, war profiteer”. The second part of the match was filled with supporter sallies. Firstly, BBB started with the song “Moja domovina” witch cheers “We, the Croats” and “Vukovar”, all in the honour of tragically deceased pilot Rudolf Perešin, who escaped from the JNA during the Homeland war, and was killed in 95’ in “Bljesak” operation.
After the patriotic messages, in 56’ a smoke bomb was activated, and in 57’ 2 flares were thrown from the supporters cage, while 2-3 more were lit up among BBB. In 76’ a pyromaniacal ravaging occurred and multiple flares were lit up, just for 10 of them to be thrown on the pitch in the next two minutes, so referee Bebek had to pause the game shortly. In 85’ BBB chanted “Mamić, you gypsy” and “Croatian police, bribery and corruption”, and in 87’ they yelled “Mamić, gypsy, leave the holy land”. In 88’ minute a smoke box could be seen and flames from 1 or 2 flares. The match ended with the chant: “Fuck you Zdravko, it’s all over with you”.
All of that happened despite the heavy security, security check up’s while entering Koprivnica, video surveillance at the stadium, and as we acknowledged before the match started, 8 members of BBB were arrested, whether for being under the influence of alcohol or iron bats their found at their possession.
NK RUDEŠ – HNK HAJDUK 2:1
The game of the 33. Round of HT first soccers league was played on May 6. 2018. In Zagreb, on Kranjčevićeva stadium in front of around 1.300 spectators among which stood out a group of Torcida members (HNK Hajduk fan club), around 400 of them, and around 30 members of Rudeš boys (NK Rudeš fan club).
Despite the heavy security, the game passed mostly in a regular fan atmosphere. Torcida has sent out political messages twice (Borovo village – never forgotten, ‘Bljesak’ was the beggining of the end for them) whilst singing patriotic songs, which was followed by an applause from the audience.In 25′ minute they sent out a message that said „no more, you gypsy“ and in 75′ they chanted „HNS faggots, you’ve fucked up football“ About 10 minutes later, they have lit up 8 flares, one of which was thrown over the fence on to a bicycle track.
