SUMMARY REPORT ON THE 36th ROUND OF THE CROATIAN TELECOM FIRST LEAGUE

 

Under the framework of the Direct Protection of Fan Violence project, CHC observers monitored the games of the 36th Round of the Croatian Telecom First League, and based on direct insight and collected data recorded the following events.

 

NK SLAVEN BELUPO – NK OSIJEK 2:1

The match  of the 36. Round of the HT first soccer league played on May 18. 2018. In Koprivnica, on the city stadium in front of around 600  supporters, among which Kohorta  (NK Osijek fan club) stood out. The match went on in a fair atmosphere and without any supporter sallies.

 

HNK RIJEKA – HNK HAJDUK 3:1

The Adriatic derby was played in the last, 36. Round of the HT first soccer league on May 19. 2018., at 17:00 hrs in Rijeka, on the Rujevica stadium in front of about 7.000 people. Among them, a big group of Armada (HNK Rijeka supporters) stood out, over 2.000 of them. There were also over 300 members of Torcida (HNK Hajduk fan club). The game went on with passionate cheering from both fan clubs, and in the sole introduction, Armada chanted “Tovar pussies” which was repeated in 24’,25’ and 45’ minute. Similar messages came from the other side as well, and it has culminated in 31’ minute when Armada, despite the rigorous controls threw a real ‘pyro show’ with their flares, and six of them were thrown over the fence towards the pitch. The referee had to postpone the match for a couple of minutes until the flares were put out and the pitch was cleared. Torcida, even though they were closed in a narrow cage, managed to get some pyrotechnics and in 81’ minute lit up 8 flares. There were a lot more offensive notes and messages throughout the match, but they could not be heard properly due to loudness of other sounds on the stadium.

 

GNK DINAMO – NK INTER 3:1

The match  of the 36. Round of the HT first soccer league between was played on May 19. 2018. In Zagreb, on the Maksimir stadium in front of around 8.000 supporters. No organised support groups were seen at the match which had passed without any incidents.
